FAT POODLE is a Sydney-based, female-owned production company specialising in high-quality creative content that resonates across genres, platforms, and audiences. Founded in 2018 by Emmy Award-winning writer, producer and director Ellen Dedes- Vallas, the company is driven by a passion for bold storytelling, a deep understanding of the production process, and a distinctly cheeky edge.

Our team is made up entirely of experienced producers who cut their teeth across some of Australia’s biggest networks, streamers, and production companies. We’ve contributed to award-winning features and series, and delivered standout content for Netflix, Stan, Prime Video, Paramount+, Tourism Australia, SBS, Nickelodeon, The Walt Disney Company, National Geographic, and LADBible - from viral social campaigns to premium long-form productions.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve produced two original documentaries for Australian broadcasters :Jess Fox: Whitewater for Nine/Stan and Price to Dakar for SBS, profiling two of the country’s most iconic athletes. We also work regularly with streamers and production companies on high-end behind-the-scenes content, giving us a clear understanding of the inner workings of premium productions, both on and off set.
